Construction regulations jalisco
In our IINGENLIVE broadcast, the researcher mentioned that there are two types of soils, those that were once water – the soft soils – and the parts that were never “wet” – the firm soils – in which there are no seismic or foundation problems, as compared to areas where there was once a lake.
The doctor also explained that Mexico City’s construction standards have a lot of longevity, i.e., if a building was built in 1970 the owner is not obliged to follow the standards established in 2018 because it was built in another temporality and under other regulations.
“A structure monitoring system has been developed, which is like taking its pressure, measuring weaknesses and vibrations in that structure. It is with these meters that the government could decide with haste whether or not a building should be demolished, since buildings have a life cycle and those that are no longer safe must be disposed of.”

Basically, a standard is an established and agreed way of doing something. It may be to manufacture a product, manage a process, provide a service or supply materials. Standards can cover a broad spectrum of activities performed by organizations and used by their customers.
They are the wisdom drawn from those who are competent in their field and knowledgeable about the needs of the organizations they represent: people such as manufacturers, vendors, buyers, customers, trade associations, users or regulators.
Standards are knowledge. They are powerful tools that can help foster innovation and increase productivity. They can make organizations more successful and people’s lives easier, safer and healthier.
Standards cover a wide range of topics, from construction to nanotechnology, from Energy Management to Health and Safety, from cricket balls to goalposts. They can be very specific, such as for a particular type of product, or more general, such as management practices.

In Colombia, the seismic-resistant standard is more rigorous in those areas of higher risk and is intended to ensure that buildings in general are safe and capable of dissipating the energy generated during a seismic movement or earthquake of catastrophic magnitude.
Buildings must undergo periodic maintenance, according to their use, and if for any reason their use is changed, they must undergo a rigorous structural analysis to ensure their stability in accordance with existing standards, including reinforcement if necessary.
When remodeling or structural adaptations are made to a building, it must be reviewed from the structural point of view, and submitted to the approval of the urban curadurías to guarantee its stability by the corresponding authorities.
Certification is the procedure to ensure that a product, process, system or service complies with the standards and recommendations of national and international organizations.
