Quality is one of the most important values for Furukawa. The company monitors each step of the production of its products, from the procurement of raw materials, through the handling, to the correct use by the customer. Through this philosophy, the company has obtained a series of national and international quality certificates.
The ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Certificate is present in the industrial units in Curitiba (Brazil), Argentina and Colombia and certifies our excellence in performance and compliance with the standard.
The national and international certificates obtained by Furukawa are not the result of the work of an isolated company, but a merit of a broad partnership between collaborators, suppliers and, especially, customers.
Our commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation was proven in our manufacturing unit in Curitiba – PR – Brazil, which obtained the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Certificate granted by Underwriters Laboratories do Brasil (UL). In addition, of course, to the development of Lead Free cables, free of heavy metals, and also Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH), which uses halogen-free components, with low emission of toxic gases and smoke.

The Mesa de la Unidad Democrática, also known as Mesa de la Unidad, MUD, Unidad Democrática or simply Unidad, is a coalition of political parties in Venezuela that oppose the policies of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and its allies of the Gran Polo Patriótico. It is made up of democratic socialism, progressivism, social Christianity and mainly social democrat tendencies.
It was formally created on January 23, 2008 in Caracas through a document called Acuerdo de Unidad Nacional and restructured on June 8, 2009, but in practice it existed since mid-2006.[10
On April 21, 2021 Juan Guaidó presented a document on a new opposition alliance called Plataforma Unitaria, which integrates civil society, unions, retired military, political parties and deputies of the National Assembly elected for the period 2016-2021. with more inclusive and broader characteristics. At the end of June 2021, the National Electoral Council (CNE) reinstated the MUD as a political party of national character in order to participate in regional elections. On August 31, 2021, the MUD was reintegrated into the Venezuelan electoral landscape with the support of the Unitary Platform, but with the use of the MUD card and the coalition is rehabilitated by the CNE and the political parties belonging to the Frente Amplio Venezuela Libre with the intention of participating in the regional elections of November 21.[15
“Today, a meeting with the student movement has not been set yet, they have their spokespersons and their demands -he indicated-. The country wants dialogue, the country needs dialogue, the Government must define if it wants or does not want dialogue”.
But the deputy executive secretary of the MUD, Ramón José Medina, said that it had been decided to suspend these meetings after the arrest of 243 young people who had been protesting in encampments for days.
Medina said that “the possibility for the dialogue to move forward depends on the Government” and alluded to the existence of a “radical” pro-government sector, headed by the President of the National Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, which “is dynamiting it”.
The opposition leader recalled that one of the agreements was to create a Truth Commission to be presided by someone mutually agreed, but Cabello unilaterally created one headed by him.
On April 29th we attended a meeting to which all the Colleges of the 1st Circumscription were summoned at the Caja del Arte de Curar. The topics to be discussed were: The lawsuit with the employees of the Fund. The situation of the debtors. Third contributor.
Regarding the first issue, they informed that the Fund has 80 employees at the provincial level. That since 1975 there has been an agreement between the Fund and the Union. We have all known for a long time that what the former employees earn under this agreement is absolutely disproportionate, earning salaries 80% higher than the highest UTEDYC salaries and a lot of other perks. As of today our retirees are paid around $20,000 and we are paying salaries of $130,000.
We raise the situation of those who cannot pay, taking into account that if we agree to change the contribution categories, it is because there is a recognition that the current ones are not related to income.
Just as it was not possible to access the benefit of opting out of the mandatory Social Welfare if the total amount of the Social Welfare debt was not paid before. They explained at the meeting that this was included in the Law so that the Board of Directors could not give in to pressure from the Associations, unions or affiliates.
