How to set Margins in WORD

In Word, all pages automatically have a one-inch margin. You can customize the margin settings or choose a predefined one. You can also set facing page margins, leave extra margin space for document binding, and change the way margins are measured.

Use symmetrical margins to set facing pages in double-sided documents, such as books or magazines. When symmetrical margins are chosen, the margins on the left page are a mirror image of those on the right page. The inside margins are the same width and the outside margins are the same width.

A binding margin adds extra space to the side margin, top margin or inner margins of the document you plan to bind. That way, the text will not be hidden by the binding.

When you choose symmetrical margins, the margins on the left page are a mirror image of those on the right page. The inside margins are the same width and the outside margins are the same width.

The printer has a secured print range as shown in Figure 1. The area outside the secured print range (6.35 mm at the top, bottom, left, and right) is considered outside the secured print range. This value is prevalent on all OKI printers.

There are areas outside the secured print range, where it is possible to print as shown in the printable range (print range) in Figure 2. The printing surface of the paper to be printed on is mainly separated by the margin and the printable range (print range).

Confirm the type of printer driver you can use in the table <Type of printer driver usable by model> and then refer to the margin for that printer driver.
