In the clinical reasoning that we can perform as physiotherapists we find two different methods. On the one hand, the deductive method based on the establishment of hypotheses that are deduced from the things that the patient tells us, for subsequent verification. It starts from general theories or principles and arrives at specific situations. On the other hand, the inductive method is based on observations of several individuals with common characteristics. It obtains general conclusions from certain specific premises that are repeated in similar individuals (2).

Fetal Doppler study where placental function is assessed by studying the umbilical artery and in some cases the middle cerebral artery if placental insufficiency or fetal growth retardation, CIR, is suspected.
Cephalic Circumference (CC) Anatomy:. Location of calipers: if the equipment has ellipse measuring capability, the calipers should be placed at the outer edge of the echoes produced by the calyx. Another alternative is to calculate the CC based on the DBP and the frontoccipital diameter (DFO), as follows: the DBP is measured as previously described and the DFO is obtained by placing the calipers between the external echoes of the frontal and occipital bone at the level of the midline. The CC is then calculated using the equation: CC = 1.62 x (DBP + DFO).
